Beta Opinion — Volatile
Class Tier List
An honest, observational read on which classes are performing well right now — not an official ranking, and subject to change every patch.
Bellring Games hasn't published win-rate stats, so this is drawn from beta community consensus — streamers, forum discussion, and reported match outcomes — not hard numbers. Treat it as a starting opinion, not gospel, and expect it to shift as balance patches land before and after launch.
Currently Strong
- Mercenary — widely reported as one of the most forgiving, consistently effective classes in the current build.
- Shadowstrix — frequently described by beta players as the strongest solo/duelist pick, to the point some expect a balance pass before launch.
- Black Arrow — beta streamers report strong ranged pressure once you're past its early learning curve, though some players in casual matches find it weak in melee-heavy fights.
Currently Weaker / More Situational
- Sorcerer — opinions are genuinely split here: some guide sites rate it as top-tier for its damage and crowd control, while a chunk of beta streamers rank it low. Worth trying yourself rather than trusting either extreme.
- Withered Knight — the newest class added during beta; reports suggest it rewards coordinated team play more than solo aggression, so its rating depends heavily on whether you're playing with a squad.
- Seer — the dedicated support class. Weak as a solo carry, but beta players consistently note a good Seer significantly raises a trio's survivability.
Best Class By Situation
Tier lists flatten a lot of nuance — see our Best Class breakdown for recommendations based on how you actually want to play (solo, squad, beginner-friendly, or aggressive).
How We Approach This
We only note a class as trending up or down once it's a repeated pattern across multiple independent sources, not a single streamer's opinion or one lucky match. Even so, beta metas shift fast — check the date on this page and treat anything more than a few weeks old with some skepticism.
