Best Class For You

Not "which class is objectively strongest" — which class actually fits how you want to play.

Best for Beginners

Mercenary. Balanced offense and defense, a hammer/sword-and-shield stance swap that's forgiving to learn, and enough survivability that early mistakes don't end your run instantly. If you're brand new to Mistfall Hunter's aim-based, soulslike-adjacent combat, this is the recommended starting point.

Best Solo

Shadowstrix. Mobility and burst let you choose your fights and disengage on your own terms — important when there's no one covering your back. Beta players consistently rate it as the strongest self-sufficient pick for going it alone.

Best in a Squad

Seer. A dedicated support class is much less valuable solo, but a competent Seer meaningfully raises a trio's survivability through healing and utility. A common strong core reported from beta play pairs a Mercenary frontline, a Shadowstrix opener, and a Seer holding the group together.

Best Aggressive Playstyle

Shadowstrix again, or Black Arrow if you'd rather open fights from range. Both reward precise, proactive play over reactive defense.

Best for Ranged, Safer Play

Sorcerer. Barriers, freezes, and burns let you control engagement distance rather than trading hits directly — good if you'd rather out-position an opponent than out-brawl them.
