Solo vs. Co-op

Which way to play Mistfall Hunter suits you — and what actually changes between them.

Can You Play Solo?

Yes — Mistfall Hunter fully supports solo play. You'll face the same monsters and rival hunters as squads do, but without teammates to back you up or revive you. Beta feedback suggests solo queues are generally balanced around solo-sized threats, though you'll still occasionally run into full squads out in the field.

Can You Play in a Duo?

There's no dedicated duo matchmaking queue — squads default to trios. However, beta players have confirmed there's no forced party fill, so two friends can queue together without a random third player being forced into the group.

What Changes in a Squad

Should You Play Solo or Squad Up?

If you want full control over pacing and don't want to coordinate with anyone, solo is the more self-contained way to play, and classes like Shadowstrix and Mercenary hold up well on their own. If you have friends to play with, a squad generally has an easier time surviving late-run PvP encounters and extracting safely, especially with a Seer providing sustain. See our Best Class For You page for specific recommendations by squad size.
