Where Mistfall Hunter stands on its way to launch.
Note: some coverage lists the release as "July 29" — that's the same launch moment viewed from US Pacific Time (6:00 PM PT on July 29 = 01:00 UTC on July 30). It's one single worldwide unlock, not two different dates.
Mistfall Hunter launches simultaneously on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, confirmed day one on Xbox Game Pass, with full crossplay across all three platforms on the same server.
Mistfall Hunter's release date shifted more than once, across four total online playtests. It was originally aimed at a March 2026 launch, following a February Steam Next Fest beta. That was pushed back to give the team more time to rework core combat and reduce stage pressure, moving the beta to a June Steam Next Fest slot with a simultaneous global launch across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation confirmed for the following month.
The June open beta was the breakout moment for the game, pulling in nearly 430,000 players and landing on both Steam's "Top Demos" and "Top Trending Upcoming" charts. It notably had no NDA — players were free to stream, record, and share footage and screenshots without restriction, and Bellring Games invited creators to join its Creator Program through the official Discord for closer involvement. That beta also debuted the Withered Knight class and the Hallowgrove map.
The beta also introduced a combat training tutorial, letting players practice mechanics before jumping into live matches — a direct response to the game's aim-based, skill-driven combat having a real learning curve.
Bellring Games has previewed a launch roadmap that includes Holy Weapons for all classes, a second weapon type for Black Arrow, and a new mode called Soul Hunt. Exact details on each are still light, and this roadmap was shared before the most recent beta, so expect some of it to shift based on player feedback by the time it actually ships.
